What a great Show Tom Mitchell and his crew put on. Top notch athletes with hardcore events to compete in.
Don Vining, My client for the past 3 months competed in his first competition ever and almost had a clean sweep of first place(got 4 out of 5.) His incredible strength cardiovascular conditioning and athleticism is what propelled him to the top so very quickly.
The best part is, he was training with the style and equipment that i training military, police and firefighters with. That’s right, the same style strength and fitness training that can accel military members on their PFT’s can also help with strongman competitions.
Enough preaching, just watch the video
PS: This Wednesday night is when you can first get your hands on a copy of the Ebook “Maximize Your PT” Theres no charge or waiting for shipping, its instantly download-able. Buy it and start reading it on Wednesday night @ 9PM EST.
With my new Ebook “Maximize Your PT” being released soon, its got me thinking about who will take the step and open their mind to unconventional training to further their strength training careers, as well as military fitness. Personally, I think the type of person who WILL take that step possesses two virtues that are as uncommon as my style of training…
Motivation and Discipline.
For all the Military Vets out there, you know that those are core values that the military DRILLS into you over and over, but for the rest of society commitment and dedication seem to be just words said when its convenient and thrown to the wayside when times get tough.
I’m gonna let my good friend Elliott Hulse of HulseStrength.com take over from here on this subject. Ive said for the past 2 years that I’ve known this extraordinary gentleman that he missed his calling as a preacher. Elliott, like me, is convicted in what he does and his passion is very transparent when he speaks.
so do you “FEEL LIKE” succeeding today?
-Donnie
PS: Are you committed to getting stronger and faster? Then next week when “Maximize your PT” is released, be sure to grab a copy and commit to a whole new world of strength training!
Yes Folks, after only 8 weeks of training, my madness was put to the test today.
So how did I do? Better than even I expected!
If your just now tuning into this blog, I started an experiment with a client who was a prime candidate for my training. Don came to me already gym strong and in decent physical condition, as you can see from his first PT test video. He was bored with the same ol’ gym routine and wanted to get REAL strong and more athletic.
Perfect!
For the past 2 months I’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow from a misguided gym rat to a full fledged athlete (PS hes competing in his first strongman competition on March 7th)
So what did he do to get the results in the video?Well, your gonna have to wait until the new Ebook “Maximize your PT” launches. I cantell you that he never ran for more than a minute at a time, never did more than 45 seconds of pushups and almost never did a conventional situp.
So if he never ran long distances, rarely did normal pushups and never did situps, how did he excelin all 3 of those events? How would a military member actually benefit from this style strength training?
Answer: Unconventional training WORKS! You don’t have to run 3 or 4 miles every day to get faster. You don’t have to do 100 pushups every night to get stronger. THAT STUFF BORES THE SHIT OUT OF ME, and im sure it does you as well.
If the above ranting doesn’t sway your opinion, then feast your eyes on the next 2 videos. The first is his second week in training with me. The latter, the final results
Remember people, this was merely 8 weeks of training for these results… LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!
Enjoy

This is what I mean when I say “Get Strong, Stay Strong!”
The book is almost done, the pictures are taken and I’m super excited about the launch. But on Wednesday, I found out my grandfather died.
With this news, I had two avenues in front of me. A) I could have just stopped what I was doing, locked myself inside my emotions and just fall into an unneeded depression, or B) I can suck it up, stay positive and deal with the emotional aspect of it through your loves and passions.
I chose B! and I also chose to share with the world what I do when I need to remain positive.
Friends, family and Iron. That’s the keys to my remedy.
Check out video about my experiences. If you are a military member , police or firefighter, adversity and tragedy is almost all too common, so properly dealing with it is vital to survival.
Donnie Kiernan is just a normal guy who has a love for training Military, Police and Firefighter's to their peak physical condition. His background includes serving in the United States Army Intelligence Corps, membership and active competitor in the North American Strongman Inc. and several years of experience in the marketing industry. He is currently training for a pending deployment to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn.
